Basic Black resin for everyday printing
Prusament Resin Basic Black is an affordable 405 nm UV resin for everyday printing on MSLA printers that combines easy printing with good detail and low toxicity. On the Original Prusa SL1S SPEED printer, a 0.05 mm layer is exposed in 3.5 s and the first layers in 7 s.
Its low price and ease of use make it a good fit for rapid prototyping at home and at work, from miniatures and toys to jewellery and other visual parts made quickly and reliably.

The monochrome display and strong UV light source of the Original Prusa SL1S SPEED expose a 0.025 mm layer of Basic resin in just 3.2 s. The first layers at this height need 6.4 s.
Frequently asked questions
Basic or Model+: which Prusament resin should I choose?
Basic is more affordable and works well for rapid prototyping, but it shrinks more and adheres slightly less to the platform than Model+. After curing, Model+ reaches a tensile strength of 47.4 MPa, Basic only 22.8 MPa.
How do I wash and cure a Basic print?
Wash the model for 5 minutes in over 90 % isopropyl alcohol, then dry it for 3 minutes at 25 °C. Curing takes at least 3 minutes, with 15 minutes being optimal.
Will Basic work in other printers?
Yes, it works well with third-party MSLA printers, but was designed for the Original Prusa SL1S SPEED, where a 0.05 mm layer takes 3.5 s and the first layers 7 s.
