List of products by brand Flipper

Among the development tools available on the market, there are sometimes universal "gems" that quickly leave all competing solutions far behind. Flipper Zero, a pocket helper of every hacker, maker or embedded programmer, is such a sensation - created thanks to an extensive crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, which managed to raise almost $5 million (!) And most importantly - the device is now available to Polish users thanks to the Botland company.

Flipper Zero - Swiss army knife for electronics and programmer

At first glance, the Flipper Zero device may be associated with a simple electronic toy - a friendly design, numerous graphics based on the image of a nice dolphin and a rather uncomplicated user interface definitely do not allow people related to electronics and IT to find out how great possibilities this gadget offers. On the outside, there is a small monochrome LCD display (1.4 "), a few buttons, an LED, a microSD card slot, a USB C port, a window for the IR communication module and a set of several holes for power and GPIO lines. In the lower part of the housing there are contacts for 1-Wire iButton identification chips. The real power, however, lies inside the compact housing - the device is equipped with a universal IR transceiver, operating in the ISM band (Sub-1 GHz), RFID card reader (125 kHz and 13.56 MHz), Bluetooth module. The device is based on a powerful STM32WB55 processor and is powered by a 2000 mAh lithium battery, and there is even a small vibration motor inside the housing.

Flipper Zero software - selected operating modes

Flipper Zero offers such a wide range of practical use that it is hard to find a competitive device with comparable functionality. One of the basic functions is "hacking" wireless communication systems, e.g. remote controllers for gates or barriers (of course, we mean ethical hacking that does not pose a threat to the safety of people or property), IR remote controls, access cards (e.g. for intercom operation) etc. The HID emulator function allows you to work with scripts for penetration testing and task automation, and U2F dongle support allows you to easily log in to services such as Google or Twitter. The set of GPIO lines allows you to use Flipper as a universal development tool, e.g. for testing or monitoring the operation of embedded systems - it will be perfect as a bridge to communication via the SPI, I2C or UART interface from the computer's USB port.
