The Waveshare converter allows communication between the RS485 and RJ45 Ethernet interfaces in industrial environments. It supports multiple communication modes such as TCP server, TCP client, UDP server and UDP client. The module is configured via a web browser and allows obtaining a dynamic IP address via DHCP and using the DNS protocol. The converter supports a wide range of communication protocols , including TCP, UDP, HTTP, ARP, ICMP, DHCP and DNS on the Ethernet layer, which allows for remote management of devices. Additionally, it functions as a serial server, Modbus gateway, MQTT gateway and enables RS485 to JSON conversion. The DIN rail mounting bracket makes it easy to install and integrate with other IoT devices and control systems, making it a versatile monitoring and management tool in dynamic industrial environments.

Multiple communication modes
The converter supports TCP server, TCP client, UDP and UDP multicast communication modes. allowing it to function as a TCP server and client at the same time. As a TCP server, it supports up to 30 connections, and as a TCP client, up to 7 target IP addresses. The transmission speed is from 1200 bps to 115200 bps , data bits from 5 to 9 and various types of parity are supported: none, odd, even, sign and space. The device can send the MAC address when connected, making it easier to manage in the cloud . It allows configuration via a web browser, dynamic IP acquisition via DHCP and connection to a domain server via the DNS protocol.
It supports a wide range of communication protocols.
Advanced software features
The converter supports the Modbus gateway function, enabling the conversion of Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP. It can operate in storage mode, automatically collecting and storing device data, or in storage-free mode. Supports multi-host functionality, allowing multiple computers to access the same serial device simultaneously. The device also functions as an MQTT gateway and JSON conversion to Modbus RTU and the 645 protocol. It supports data transfer in the HTTP POST and HTTP GET formats. Supports NTP to obtain network time, used for serial output and transmitting protocol content. It allows you to define heartbeat and registration packages, which facilitates communication with the cloud and identification of devices.

30 days to return, without giving a reason
