MT78 commutator motor - operating principle
The MT78 electric motor is a miniature DC commutator machine. In this motor, voltage from the power supply is fed to the commutator plots connected to the rotor windings. As a result of the current flowing through the rotor windings, a magnetic field is produced which interacts with the stator's magnetic field, which is formed by the permanent magnets without winding. The commutator is the element responsible for changing the voltage polarity, which causes the rotor to rotate invariably in the same direction.
Application examples for the MT78 motor
In addition to its low price, the MT78 engine also offers numerous practical advantages.
