CORE One L CIE: network isolation enforced in hardware
Original Prusa CORE One L Critical Infrastructure Edition is an enclosed CoreXY 3D printer with a 300 x 300 x 330 mm build volume and a mainboard without a Wi-Fi slot. The wireless circuitry is physically removed, the printer ships without a camera, and the manufacturer provides Letters of Volatility, documents for your security team describing what the device stores.
The print parameters are the same as on the standard Original Prusa CORE One L, and the difference is in connectivity and the camera.

What makes this model stand out
Network isolation in the mainboard, not in the settings
The Wi-Fi connectors and wireless circuitry are physically removed from the mainboard, not just disabled in software, so the isolation can be verified in the hardware itself. Keep in mind that without Wi-Fi and a camera you cannot monitor prints remotely, so if no security requirements apply to you, the standard CORE One L will be more convenient.

Large parts in engineering materials in a chamber up to 60 °C
The AC heatbed is milled from a thick block of aluminum, and two fans underneath create convection that heats the chamber to a stable 60 °C. This is the key to reliable printing of engineering materials, meaning plastics resistant to heat and load, such as PC, ASA and PA, without warping or cracking.

A heatbed protected like a home electrical installation
The AC heatbed in the CORE One L constantly monitors fault currents, similar to a residential RCD, and cuts the power when a leak is detected. A second safeguard is a redundant switching design with a relay and a TRIAC.
Frequently asked questions
How does the CORE One L Critical Infrastructure Edition differ from the standard CORE One L?
The CIE edition has a mainboard without a Wi-Fi slot and related circuitry and ships without a camera, while the standard CORE One L has Wi-Fi and a 1080p camera in the package. The build volume, the chamber up to 60 °C and the print parameters are the same.
Does the printer work without internet?
Yes. You slice the model in PrusaSlicer on your own computer and transfer the file on a USB drive. The Ethernet port lets you optionally connect the printer to an isolated local network, without internet access.
Will the CIE edition connect to a corporate WPA2-Enterprise Wi-Fi network?
No. The mainboards of Critical Infrastructure printers do not include a wireless radio, so the printer does not connect to any Wi-Fi network, including corporate ones.
What are Letters of Volatility for?
They are documents that describe what data the printer stores and what is cleared when the power is switched off. They help your security team assess the device in audits and in document handling policies.
Does this version include an encrypted USB drive?
No, this version ships without a USB drive. The same printer is also available in a bundle with a certified, encrypted 30 GB USB drive.
Which materials can I print on the CORE One L CIE?
Without additional equipment you can print PLA, PETG, flexible filaments, PVA, PC, PP, CPE and PVB. ABS, ASA, HIPS and PA require the Advanced Filtration System, which captures fine particles released during printing.

30 days to return, without giving a reason
