The 79-3111 soldering station tip is compatible with several of the most popular soldering irons and DIY stations. It fits the 40-48-watt VTSS4N soldering station, available in our store (product code: VEL-10028).
The 79-3111 soldering tip has an overall length of 22 mm and a diameter of 6.8 mm. It has a conical tip that tapers to approximately 1.5 mm in diameter. It allows for soldering through-hole components (resistors, capacitors, rectifier diodes, transistors, LEDs, integrated circuits in DIP packages, connectors, etc.) as well as larger SMD components (in sizes 0805 and larger). It is also ideal for mounting connectors on wires and tinning bare cable ends.
