Yato TY-82451 transformer soldering iron with an output power of 200 W , which ensures very fast heating of the tip. Yato YT-82451 is characterized by a very good quality of workmanship, made of the best materials, while maintaining an ergonomic shape. The soldering iron is equipped with a handle made of non-slip material , thanks to which it fits well in the hand. It also has a spotlight for the work area. The temperature of approx. 350 ° C is reached within 8 seconds in the most powerful mode and with the use of the tip provided for the first assembly. The design of the Yato transformer soldering iron enables operation in three temperature ranges:
- A : 70 ° C to 200 ° C
- B : 201 ° C to 350 ° C
- C : 351 ° C to 500 ° C
The temperature range should be adapted to the work to be performed, e.g. soldering wires (B or C), basic electronic components on a PCB (B), cutting strings made of plastic (A or B), etc.

How to take care of the tip in a Yato transformer soldering iron
The tips in the Yato transformer soldering iron are covered with a material that limits their oxidation. Pointless overheating and mechanical damage to the tip quickly degrade the protective layer, which results in oxidation of the tip, which results in problems with melting the solder. The tin then does not melt and does not stick to the tip, it ball and falls. A proven method of taking care of the tip is its tinning. Dissolve and spread a small amount of tin over the tip, and then wipe it with e.g. copper shavings ( tip cleaner ). The tin layer formed in this way protects against oxidation. It is a good practice to tin the tip each time after finishing work.
How to solder with a transformer soldering iron?
Transformer soldering irons are small in size, thanks to the technology of construction of the transformer in intermittent operation. In order to maintain the highest parameters of the device, the following principle should be followed: 12 seconds of soldering and 48 seconds of break. Exceeding the soldering time once, while maintaining the rules of care for the tip, will not adversely affect the further operation of the soldering iron, if we let the device cool down. When the transformer is too hot, its efficiency decreases and, at the same time, the ability to heat the tip to the right temperature decreases. Overheating of the transformer may damage it.
