The Seeedstudio Xiao ESP32-C5 is a small development board measuring just 21 x 17.8 mm , based on Espressif's ESP32 -C5HR8 chip. The microcontroller utilizes a powerful, 32-bit RISC-V core clocked at up to 240 MHz and an additional energy-efficient LP core operating at up to 48 MHz. The module supports dual-band WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5 LE, and the IEEE 802.15.4 standard , enabling the creation of devices compatible with Matter, ZigBee, Thread, HomeKit, and MQTT . The board also includes 8 MB of Flash memory, 8 MB of PSRAM , a Li-Ion/Li-Pol battery charging circuit, a U.FL antenna connector, and a rich set of communication interfaces. Thanks to the classic Xiao series format , the module can be easily integrated with existing expansion boards and your own projects.

Despite its small size, the Xiao ESP32-C5 offers a rich set of pins for connecting sensors , displays , actuators, and communication systems. Users have access to 11 GPIO lines , ADC analog inputs, an I2C interface for sensors and expanders, SPI for displays and memory, and UART for serial communication. The board's underside also features JTAG pads, which can be used for application debugging.
