History
D-Link has been manufacturing and supplying wired and wireless communication solutions to customers around the world for over thirty years. The company was founded in 1986 under the name Datex Systems, Inc. and was active in the network adapter market. In 1989, the first European office was opened, and in 1992, the company changed its name to D-Link Corporation and became one of the first companies to develop a zero-configuration network adapter. The following year, in 1993, the company won a Quality and Innovative Product award for its PCMCIA laptop adapter. In 1998, D-Link is listed in Forbes' TOP 300, and five years later, it is listed in BusinessWeek magazine's TOP 100.
