The Asus brand accompanies a large part of us every day. Taiwanese manufacturer of electronic devices has hit the international market. Its history begins in 1989, when four IT specialists working for Acer decided to create their own company. The first products were launched by him in 1990 (he debuted with motherboards and graphics cards for desktop computers), and in 1997 he began operations in the laptop sector, which is still one of the most important items in his offer. Interestingly, the full name of the manufacturer is ASUSTeK Computer Inc., while Asus is used as an acronym much easier to remember for the brand's international audience. It also has additional symbolism - it is a segment of the word "Pegasus". The Taiwanese manufacturer can boast of having won a number of awards, including being named a leader in product quality in 2006 by The Wall Street Journal. In 2000, the company created a restrictive program that promotes the environmental performance of electronic products. The company has expanded (for its own use) the list of undesirable substances (they are not used by the manufacturer), and is concerned about environmentally friendly production and distribution of devices.

One of the main Asus products are still motherboards and graphics cards. Many years ago the Asian powerhouse also began producing portable PCs, including the hugely popular, low-cost Asus Eee notebook, which made the brand popular among home users. The company also makes mini-PCs, optical drives, monitors and projectors. Its product range also includes network devices (e.g. routers), headphones, speakers and docking stations, and even a very wide range of products dedicated to gaming enthusiasts. In 2003, the first cell phone signed by the Taiwanese manufacturer appeared on the market, and now it is joined by more smartphone models (in 2019 the Zenfone 6 premiered).
Asus for professionals
In addition to popular devices with a wide range of applications for home users, Asus also supports professionals. It produces servers, including storage servers and models designed for data centers, with high computing power and the ability to support up to several graphics cards simultaneously; it also supplies server motherboards. The brand's lineup also includes many workstation models (and, as with servers, standalone motherboards). Asus is often chosen as a partner by other popular brands - it provides components for Apple, Hewlett-Packard or Sony, so many users of other brands' devices unknowingly use solutions provided by ASUSTeK every day.
