In order to keep landscape plants in impeccable condition in terms of appearance and biological parameters, one of the key elements is to take care of the proper moisture level of plants and soil. In addition to naturally supplied water in the form of precipitation, the landscape must be provided with artificial irrigation, and its effects must be monitored on an ongoing basis. For this purpose, special measuring systems have been developed, the design of which enables coupling with irrigation systems, thus providing the right conditions for the functioning of plants. Simple, accurate and reliable capacitive sensors for measuring soil moisture
SoilWatch 10 capacitive sensors from Pino-Tech offered by Botland store, allow you to measure the relative water content in soil. During the design of the SoilWatch sensors, special emphasis was placed on the accuracy of the measurement, as well as resistance to environmental conditions. Compared to conventional soil moisture sensors, the sensors from Pino-Tech have no measuring electrodes leading directly to the outside and are therefore resistant to corrosion. The sensor's electronic circuit is resistant to temperature fluctuations over time and provides high measurement accuracy. In the Botland store offer, the SoliWatch 10 sensor is offered in three versions in terms of cable length for connecting power supply and control signal, i.e. 1.5m, 5.0m and 10.0m. The sensor is easy to operate and its construction with small dimensions and high corrosion resistance enables long-term use and highly precise soil moisture measurement. An analog voltage signal is obtained at the sensor's output, which can be connected to the analog input in Arduino or any other embedded platform that is equipped with an analog-to-digital converter. Depending on the compatibility of the supply voltages and the bit resolution of the ADC, the sensor can be powered from 3.1V to 5.5V. SoliWatch 10 is a great solution for soil moisture monitoring applications and plant and soil irrigation management systems.
