Fluke

Fluke Corporation is a company founded in 1948 as a manufacturer of high-end electronic measuring instruments. The company was founded by John Fluke - then an employee of General Electric. In 1987, Fluke entered into a partnership with the Dutch company Philips. The result of this collaboration was the Scopometer, a portable measuring device combining the functionality of a multimeter and oscilloscope. In 1993, Fluke bought the measurement instrument research and development division from Philips. In 1998, Fluke was bought out by Danaher Corporation, and as of 2016, Fluke is part of the Fortive conglomerate along with Tektronix, known for its high-end oscilloscopes. The company is headquartered in the United States in the city of Everett, Washington. The company's factories are located in the United States, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and also in Asia. Fluke has sales representatives in more than a hundred countries around the world.
