The Pololu D42V55F12 is an efficient step-down (buck) converter from the D42V55Fx series. It is designed to effectively reduce voltage from 12V to 60V to a stable 12V level. Compared to traditional linear regulators, it offers significantly higher energy efficiency , which translates to lower power losses and lower operating temperatures. The converter is equipped with a soft start function, a Power Good (PG) output, an Enable (EN) input for remote module on/off, and reverse power protection . Thanks to its small size and high current capacity, the module is suitable for both hobbyist and professional applications. The maximum continuous current is 4.5A .

The module is equipped with six basic pins arranged in a 2.54 mm pitch , which allows for cooperation with breadboards and standard goldpin connectors . VIN is used to connect the input voltage, while VOUT provides a regulated 12V voltage. The GND pins function as the system ground. An additional VRP pin provides access to the input voltage after the reverse polarity protection circuit. The EN input allows remote shutdown of the converter and entry into low-power mode, while the PG (Power Good) output monitors the correctness of the output voltage and can be used in power sequencing or diagnostic systems.
