Mounting connectors applications
Mounting connectors are perfect for connecting individual modules and subassemblies inside devices and control cabinets. Depending on the version used, they can conduct currents from a few to even several amperes, although there are versions with even higher parameters. Most connectors of this type have also quite high limits of voltage, with which they can work, which allows to use them in power supply circuits (before using the element, always check its technical documentation!). Mounting connectors are available in rasters: 2.54 mm, 3.5 mm, 5.08 mm, and 7.62 mm and 8.5 mm. The first two spacings are perfect for control and measurement circuits, as well as for supplying small modules. Larger connectors, on the other hand, cope well with powering more "current-consuming" circuits, although they can also be used to connect sensors or control signals.
Disconnectable terminal blocks - convenience combined with versatility
Botland store offers a wide selection of mounting connectors of the most popular spacing of 3.5 mm and 5.08 mm. The former are available in sizes from 2 pins to as much as 8 pins, which allows you to select the appropriate number of lines for a given application, without the need to split one wire harness into several separate connectors. This solution greatly improves the legibility of the installation and allows for logical grouping of wires according to their function. Terminal blocks in 3.5 mm raster have maximum current-carrying capacity from 7 A (according to European IEC standards) to 8 A (according to American UL standards) and can work with voltages up to 250V (according to IEC) or 300V (according to UL). A complete pair of connectors consists of a male part (soldered on PCB) and a female part (equipped with a terminal block), and the wrong polarity is prevented by the shape of both parts, which prevents their reverse assembling. The connectors made in 5.08 mm pitch can carry currents up to 20 A and work with voltages up to 300 V. In our store you will find versions with number of contacts from 2 to 16.
Barrier strips
In addition to detachable terminal blocks, we also offer excellent mounting connectors in the form of barrier strips. The name comes from the vertical "partitions", which isolate the adjacent contacts from each other and protect against breakage or accidental short circuits (e.g. by touching the tool or loose cable end). What is very important, this type of connectors can work with voltages up to 300 V and currents up to 20 A, which predisposes them to use in power supply systems - both mains and low voltage, as well as in controllers of motors or other executive elements of considerable power.
