List of products by brand Duracell

Despite the flood of devices powered by built-in rechargeable batteries, classic batteries still perfectly defend their position among small power sources. Although the technological development also applies to this field, and new generations of cells and alkaline batteries offer parameters unattainable for their predecessors years ago, the size and voltage ratings remain unchanged for decades. One of the best manufacturers in the world is Duracell - a company known to everyone, not only from the labels of the batteries themselves, but also... from television and press advertisements, whose hero has invariably been a nice bunny for almost half a century. Among all leading battery producers Duracell brand is distinguished by a powerful marketing campaign - although aware users of battery devices don't need additional advertising anyway, if they had a chance to feel how far energy sources Duracell distances their market competitors.

Company history

The company's beginnings date back to the mid-1920s, when inventor Samuel Ruben partnered with tungsten filament manufacturer Philip Rogers Mallory. Over several decades of cooperation (until Mallory's death in 1975) the company grew to become one of the largest players in the market for chemical energy sources. While the batteries produced under the Duracell brand (literally) primarily fueled the explosive growth of the photographic equipment industry, one of the company's most notable successes was tied to the iconic Apollo 11 mission - the Duracell products found on the spacecraft launched in 1969 became the first batteries on the moon. Today, the company has more than 3,300 employees and, through advanced quality control procedures and constant innovation, remains at the forefront of disposable batteries and cells, as well as rechargeable batteries, chargers and even powerbanks.

Duracell batteries in classic sizes and designs

Certainly the most popular type of batteries are immortal "sticks" in standard size (marked AA or R6, and for alkaline batteries - LR6) and slightly smaller cells, commonly called "small sticks" and found under the commercial markings AAA, R03 and LR03 (alkaline version). Duracell has been producing both types of batteries for many years, and the new versions offer patented Duralock technology, which reduces self-discharge and allows batteries to be stored for up to 10 years at ambient temperature. This is of considerable importance for, among others, rarely used devices, as well as equipment with low current consumption. Some Duracell cells have an innovative built-in battery level indicator, which, by pressing the two contact points on both ends of the battery, allows you to visually check the battery status without the need for a special electronic tester.

Other Duracell batteries

In our offer, in addition to small and standard "sticks" you'll find a variety of other types of batteries, necessary in car remotes, photographic equipment, watches or calculators. For cameras, camcorders and motion detectors we have Duracell lithium batteries in size CR123. Portable devices with low current consumption, as well as power backup systems in RTC clocks or computer motherboards, often use CR2032 flat pastel batteries - you'll also find this type of battery in our range. For larger electronic toys and flashlights we recommend the robust, high capacity LR14 alkaline cells. If you're looking for a power source for devices operating in extremely harsh environments, look no further than Duracell Industrial - you'll find both LR6 cells and smaller LR03 cells in our range.
