Product description: LiPo Charger / Booster - Li-Pol charger - 5 V / 1 A - PAM2401 - SparkFun PRT-14411
Charger for 1-cell lithium-polymer batteries with a nominal voltage of 3.7 V. The supply voltage is 5 V, the maximum current is 500 mAh. The device has a Booster 5 V 1 A and contains protection diodes so that it is possible to connect several cells in series. The device is equipped with PAM2401 IC and MCP73831 chip. The battery can be powered from different sources: USB, directly from the power supply, you can use an external slide switch, etc. More information can be found in the user guide. The manufacturer recommends charging batteries with a minimum capacity of 1000 mA.

The board is powered from a USB port or directly from an external power supply. It has a slide switch, JST connector.

Output voltage pins(+ -) | Output voltage 5V, 1A. Pins are marked with polarity (+ -). |
Battery connector | Enables connecting a battery to the JST connector or soldering wires to the connectors. Marked by polarity (+ -). |
Charging input | The charging voltage is 5 V and the current is 500 mA. You can use the microUSB connector or solder the wires. Marked by polarity (+ -). |
Switch | There is a switch on the board to physically turn off the battery. When it is in the ON position, the battery is connected to the charger/amplifier. |
EXT SW connectors | Used to connect a higher current switch or external switch to the battery. |
EN connector | On by default. Can be connected to ground to disable the output. |
Charge LED | The LED glows blue when the battery is charging. When charging is complete, the LED goes out. |
Boost LED | The LED glows red when there is voltage at the output pins |

The charger indicates the charging status with the built-in LED.
