Screw terminals at every QT Py pin
Terminal Block BFF is an add-on for QT Py and Xiao boards that brings every pin out to a screw terminal with 2.54 mm pitch and adds a LiPo battery charging circuit with a JST PH connector. It works without code and uses no pins, so it fits every QT Py and Xiao board.
You insert a board with soldered header pins into the double sockets, so a free socket for a wire remains at every pin. You can also combine the add-on with other BFF add-ons.

LiPo battery, LEDs and charging jumpers
You connect a 3.7 V / 4.2 V LiPo battery to the JST PH connector. When the QT Py or Xiao board is powered from USB, the add-on switches to it and charges the battery with surplus current. The green DON LED signals a full charge, the orange CHG LED signals charging.
Two jumpers are on the underside. After soldering the +250mA jumper, charging current rises from 250 mA to 500 mA. After cutting the Disable jumper, charging is switched off, so you can power the project from a basket of AA batteries with a JST PH connector instead of LiPo.
The STEMMA QT connector, a 4-pin I2C connector compatible with Qwiic, uses the default SDA and SCL pins of the QT Py board. The add-on has no pull-ups, because most QT Py and Xiao boards have their own. You can connect hundreds of displays and sensors to it.

Does the add-on need code?
No. The add-on works without any code and uses no pins on the board, so it fits every QT Py and Xiao board.
Which battery can I connect?
A 3.7 V / 4.2 V LiPo battery with a JST PH connector. It charges from the board's USB port at 250 mA.
Can I power it from AA batteries?
Yes, after cutting the Disable jumper on the underside. Charging is switched off and you connect an AA battery holder with a JST PH connector to power the project.
