How to extend the life of tips?
If you want your tips to last as long as possible, use the lowest possible working temperature , appropriate for the type of solder used. Avoid exceeding 350°C for lead-free solder and 320°C for leaded solder. Regularly clean the tips from solder residues and use appropriate sponges or brass cleaners . Do not use sharp tools that can damage their coating. Additionally , for optimal performance, use a USB Type-C PD 65 W, 20 V / 3.25 A or higher power supply when using short tips. Incorrect power supply can reduce soldering efficiency and shorten the life of the tips. Store them in a dry place to prevent corrosion. Check the condition of the tips regularly and replace them when they show signs of wear to maintain high soldering quality.
