UPS uninterruptible power supplies are devices that are designed to maintain and temporarily maintain power to other devices in the event that the mains power fails or has incorrect parameters. Protected devices are connected directly to the network, which is constantly monitored. It is checked, among others: shape of the output voltage. When any irregularities are detected, the network is disconnected in a very short time and the current is supplied from the battery through the power supply - the entire process usually takes from 2 ms to 10 ms. During standby, the discharged battery is recharged with a small current.
