The energy management module is a small,high-performance modulefor 5 Vsolar panels. It is equipped withthe MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking)algorithm- a constant voltage that maximizes panel performance. It can supply a charging currentof 900 mAtoa Li 3.7 V battery. It has ON/OFF control and protection function for the battery, photovoltaic cell and output, which significantly affects the stability and safety of projects. In combination with popular controllers from Arduino family allows to create a complete system powered by solar energy.

Answer: The specification states that the module can also be used with Li-Ion batteries.

This module is used by me to manage a small 6V solar panel. Due to its small size, it can be installed in many places without any problems. Supply it to a RAK Wireless Starter Set (LoRa/Meshtastic) via 5V PINs. So far nothing negative has been found. The additional charging of a 3.7V battery works, albeit a little slower, without problems when the sun is shining well.
