Maqueen Plus V3 uses a modern matrix laser ranging sensor instead of conventional ultrasonic sensors. As a result, the robot can not only measure the distance to obstacles, but also determine their position in space. This enables the development of more advanced autonomous driving algorithms, intelligent obstacle avoidance and route planning. Built-in line-following and intersection recognition functions are handled by the robot's onboard circuitry, reducing the load on the micro:bit controller and allowing it to perform other programming tasks simultaneously.
