Before placing an order - check
Before you upgrade your Prusa i3 MK3/S/+ printer to MK4S with the available kit, it is important to check two key items to make sure your printer is compatible with the kit:
Power supply unit type (PSU) :
- If your printer has a black power supply unit (PSU) , it is fully compatible with the upgrade kit.
- If you have a silver PSU , you will need to add a compatible wiring harness or replace it with a black PSU.
Heating table connector version :
- If the heating table is screwed with 2+3 screws (power cable screwed), there is no compatibility problem.
- If the heating table is attached with 2+1 screws (power cable soldered), it will be necessary to replace the heating table.
The frame and heated table are not included in the upgrade as replacing these parts does not provide any functional benefit and only increases the price.
