Description
One of the views of the popular Raspberry Pi 3 minicomputer in version A+. This model features a more efficient processor Broadcom BCM2837B0 quad-core 64-bit ARM-8 Cortex-A53 with a 1.4 GHz clock frequency. In addition, the board has dual band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 4,2 / BLE. The model is a simplified version of 3B+. Has one USB socket, 40 GPIO, microSD card connector, DSI and CSI connectors, and four mounting holes.
What is new in Raspberry Pi 3 A+?
Feature | Description |
---|---|
BCM2837B0 processor | The Broadcom chipset BCM2837B0 with 64-bit Quad-Core ARM-8 Cortex-A53 CPU, running at 1.4 GHz provides more computer performance than previous models of the Raspberry Pi |
Dual Band WiFi | New, integrated wi-fi Dual Band, 802.11 b/g/n/ac operates in the range of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, what delivers higher data transmission rate. |
PoE Power Supply | The possibility of power via Ethernet with the optional pad for PoE HAT. |
Form and connectors |
The distribution of elements and the outline of the plate is compatible with Raspberry 1 A+. Board has one connector USB, HDMI, Jack, DSI and CSI connectors and 40 pins GPIO. Does not have Ethernet connector. |
The picture and sound
Raspberry Pi has HDMI connector in 1.4 version, through which you can send picture and sound. In addition, the board was equipped with a 4-pin Jack 3.5 mm, to which you can connect headphones, speakers or display video through a standard RCA Composite. The device supports H. 264 compression format (1080p30) and OpenGL ES 1.1 and 2.0 graphic.

Operating system
A drive of the raspberry is a microSD memory card. The operating system can be uploaded via the computer with the microSD reader. In our store are available cards with the installed NOOBs software which with the first activation enables choosing from the systems: Raspbian, Openelec, RaspBMC, OSMC the Linux. Raspberry Pi A+ is compatible with the NOOBs version 2.9.0 operating systems.

Communication
Raspberry has the main communication interfaces which can be found in PC class office computers. In addition to the previously listed connectors for audio and video, the user has at his or her disposal:
- one USB connector, to which can be connected, for example, a mouse, a keyboard, a WiFi card or USB flash drive. If you find that there are not enough slots, you can increase the number of slots by using an external USB HUB.
- the WiFi module - allows to connect to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, 802.11 b/g/n/ac wireless network - the latest system Raspbian / NOOBs has built-in drivers
- Bluetooth 4.2provides data transfer through the interface
- GPIO- outputs/inputs with general purpose that can be used to control the LEDs, buttons, motor drivers. Among them are pins supporting I2C, SPI and UART interfaces.
ThingSpeak platform for Arduino and Raspberry Pi IoT.
Power
As a power source, the system uses the microUSB connector. The manufacturer recommends that the voltage indicated on the plug had a value of 5 V, and current of the used adapter shall not be less than 2.5 A. We offer dedicated power supplies.
