An expansion for the Compute Module 4 in the form of an advanced pin expander . The board features a number of useful interfaces and a battery cage for three batteries , which allows for wireless powering of the CM4 . The CM4-PoE-UPS Base also provides USB, DC, and PoE interfaces, 2x HDMI connectors, 4x USB 2.0 connectors, 1x USB Type-C programming connector, 2x indicator LEDs, 1x Gigabit Ethernet connector, 40 GPIO pins for connecting peripherals, 1x DSI connector, 2x CSI connectors, 1x M.2 KEY slot, and a microSD memory card slot.

Special features of the CM4-PoE-UPS Base
- Designed for use with CM4
- Allows for wireless powering of the module and additionally three external power supply options: USB, DC and PoE interfaces
- It has protection circuits against overcharging/discharging, short circuiting and reverse polarity
- Equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 connector, it integrates an 802.3af-compliant PoE circuit (5V/2.5A)
- Equipped with an M.2 KEY slot for connecting an NVME SSD or a communication module with a PCIE M.2 KEY interface
- It can charge batteries and simultaneously power the system from an external power source.
- Automatically switches to battery power in the absence of an external power source, ensuring trouble-free and continuous system operation
- The built-in CSI and DSI connectors have 22 pins with a pitch of 0.5 mm, it is recommended to purchase a CSI adapter and a DSI adapter for use with a camera and display with 15-pin connectors with a pitch of 1 mm
