Innovative design of the extruder
Urbicum GX has anextruder madeentirelyof high quality metal. This significantly extends its life and enables stable and precise work.The filament sensor, which reacts in case of a sudden error in the movement of the printing material, allows to protect the resulting model from imperfections caused by a sudden interruption of printing. The extruder hasa knurling pressure regulator for the filament. The maximumtemperature of theprintingnozzleis400°C, withthepossibility of unlocking to 450°C.

Perfectly flat table for printing
The base of the vacuum printing platform is aperfectly flat 15 mm thick aluminium. The table uses an efficient, noise-generatingvacuumpump. The maximum platform temperature is 140°C.The manufacturer used an advancedsystem for mapping the curvature ofthe coverage.

Closed working chamber
The printer has aclosed workspace of 1020x 630 x 500 mm,adapted to the safe use of almost all types of filaments available on the market. It is equipped withan air filterreaching the device anda Hepa+ carbon filterprotecting against the escape of harmful fumes from inside, supported by anactive circulationsystem. The chamber is equipped withRGBW LED lighting,whichis at the same time an indicator of the next stages of work. Access to the interior is secured by a locked flap with an RFID module.

Advanced axis movement mechanics
In order to achieve the best possible printing results, Urbicum GX uses parts fromrenowned manufacturers:
- GATES / OPTIBELT belts
- Panasonic 400 W XY axis servomotors
- HIWIN/BOSCH rails and linear motion trolleys for XYZ planes
- HIWIN 1605 ball screws used in the Z axis

Electronic circuits are based on the originalsolution of the manufacturer Urbiboard v 0.3. All components of the control and drive system are located outside the working area of the device. The device is operated with a7'' touch screen display.
