Factory-type Snapmaker U1 stainless steel hot end
The hot end with a 0.4 mm stainless steel nozzle is the same type of hot end that Snapmaker fits as standard in all four toolheads of the Snapmaker U1 3D printer. It works well as a spare hot end or as a replacement for a single toolhead. It has a built-in ceramic heater and a heat-insulating silicone sock and works at temperatures up to 300 °C while printing.
The stainless steel nozzle is designed for everyday printing with common filaments without fibers or particles, such as PLA, PETG and TPU. For filaments with glass or carbon fiber, choose a hardened steel hot end, which is more resistant to wear.

The Snapmaker Wiki admits that this U1 component is called a hot end, extruder, nozzle or nozzle heatsink assembly, while the official name used by the manufacturer is hot end.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same hot end that comes with a new U1 printer?
Yes. The Snapmaker U1 comes with 0.4 mm stainless steel hot ends as standard, and this hot end is their equivalent. After replacement, you do not need to change the nozzle diameter in the printer settings.
When should I replace the hot end?
It is worth replacing the hot end when the nozzle is worn or clogged and cleaning does not restore an even filament flow. Replacement is easy, takes about 15 minutes according to the manufacturer and requires an H2.0 hex key.
Do I need to calibrate the printer after replacing the hot end?
Yes. After fitting a new hot end, re-run the multi-toolhead offset calibration and bed leveling in the Device Calibration menu, and run dynamic flow calibration before printing. This keeps the toolheads precisely aligned with each other.
