Snapmaker U1: 4 hot ends with a 0.6 mm hardened nozzle
This set of four hot ends with a 0.6 mm hardened steel nozzle fits the Snapmaker U1 3D printer and replaces the hot ends in all four toolheads at once. Each hot end has a built-in ceramic heater and a heat-insulating silicone sock, works up to 300 °C and is fixed with two screws from the set. Thanks to hardened steel, the nozzle resists wear, so it handles abrasive filaments with glass or carbon fiber.
The 0.6 mm nozzle gives decent quality with less distinct detail on small models. The manufacturer recommends it for large structural components, functional parts and high-strength engineering parts, and it works well with high-flow filaments such as SnapSpeed PLA, TPU, PETG, PVA, ABS, ASA, PC and PA. In one print job, the U1 uses the same nozzle size in all toolheads, so the set of 4 lets you switch all toolheads of the printer to 0.6 mm at once.

The U1 calibrates the offsets of its four toolheads in the X, Y and Z axes itself, and the manufacturer states that they then stay within 0.04 mm of each other, so colors line up well.
Frequently asked questions
Can I print with different nozzle diameters at the same time?
No. The Snapmaker U1 requires all hot ends used in one print job to have the same nozzle diameter. That is why the set includes four hot ends, a full set for all toolheads, while you can still combine different filaments in the toolheads.
Which layer height should I choose for the 0.6 mm nozzle?
For the 0.6 mm nozzle, the manufacturer recommends a layer height of 0.15 mm to 0.45 mm, with 0.3 mm to 0.4 mm as a general setting. A thinner layer gives a smoother surface at the cost of a longer print time, while a thicker one shortens printing.
What is the maximum temperature of the hot end?
The hot end works up to 300 °C, so it also handles engineering filaments such as PC and PA. For ABS, ASA, PA and PC, the manufacturer recommends printing with the top cover, which keeps a stable temperature around the print.
