Snapmaker U1: 4 hot ends with a 0.2 mm hardened nozzle
This set of four hot ends with a 0.2 mm hardened steel nozzle fits the Snapmaker U1 3D printer and replaces the hot ends in all four toolheads at once. Each hot end has a built-in ceramic heater and a heat-insulating silicone sock, works up to 300 °C and is fixed with two screws from the set. Hardened steel resists wear well.
The 0.2 mm nozzle gives extremely fine detail and high quality on the smallest elements. The manufacturer recommends it for miniatures, elaborate logos, text and molds, and it works well with filaments without particles or debris, such as pure PLA, PETG, ABS and ASA. In one print job, the U1 uses the same nozzle size in all toolheads, so the set of 4 lets you switch all toolheads of the printer to 0.2 mm at once.

Fun fact
Toolhead change in 5 seconds
The U1 does not push several filaments through a shared nozzle, it swaps the whole toolhead, which takes just 5 seconds according to the manufacturer and needs no long nozzle purging.

Frequently asked questions
Can I print TPU with the 0.2 mm hot end?
The manufacturer does not recommend combining the 0.2 mm hot end with the flexible TPU 95A HF filament. For TPU, choose a hot end with a 0.4 mm or larger nozzle and keep the 0.2 mm nozzle for fine details in PLA, PETG, ABS and ASA.
What should I set on the printer after installing 0.2 mm hot ends?
On the U1 touchscreen, go to Maintenance and Toolhead Info, set the nozzle diameter to 0.2 mm and then re-run the multi-toolhead offset calibration and bed leveling. The manufacturer does not recommend dynamic flow calibration with a 0.2 mm nozzle, because its result is not reliable.
Which layer height should I choose for the 0.2 mm nozzle?
For the 0.2 mm nozzle, the manufacturer recommends a layer height of 0.05 mm to 0.12 mm, with 0.1 mm as a general setting. A thinner layer gives a smoother surface at the cost of a longer print time, while a thicker one shortens printing.
