The Hot End Silicone Sock is an original heat-resistant silicone sleeve for the hotend heater block of the Snapmaker U1 3D printer. It insulates the heater block, which improves safety, reduces energy consumption and helps achieve better print quality.
The sock also keeps filament from sticking to the nozzle and the heater block. The set contains four socks, one for each toolhead, and when fitting it you align the notch of the sock with the wire press strip.

How do I fit the sock on the hotend correctly?
You put the sock on the heater block last, after the heater clamp spring and the wire press strip. The manufacturer recommends that the notch in the sock faces the same direction as the wire press strip.
How many socks does the Snapmaker U1 need?
The Snapmaker U1 has four toolheads, and each hotend has its own sock. A set of four is enough to replace the socks on all toolheads at once.
