Wide-angle 160° night vision camera for Raspberry Pi
The Waveshare RPi Camera (H) with a 5 MP OV5647 sensor and a 160° lens records in the dark as well, because two 850 nm infrared IR illuminators are included. It has no IR-CUT filter, that is a filter blocking infrared light, so it captures images even in very dark locations.
You connect it with a ribbon cable to the CSI camera connector of the Raspberry Pi. The 1/4" CMOS sensor records 1080p video, and the lens has a bright F2.35 aperture.
- You set the focus manually by turning the 3.15 mm focal length lens
- The IR illuminators switch on automatically after dusk via photoresistors
- Both IR LED modules are screwed on, so you can easily remove them
- The four mounting holes also serve as a 3.3 V power output

Frequently asked questions
Does it fit the Raspberry Pi 5?
Yes. You connect the camera directly with the included "Zero" cable, which is approximately 15 cm long. The same cable also fits the Raspberry Pi Zero and Zero 2 W.
Why are the colours reddish?
The camera has no IR-CUT filter, so the sensor also captures infrared light. This allows it to see in the dark, but in bright daylight the colours may have a reddish tint.
Can the IR illuminators be removed?
Yes. Both IR LED modules are screwed on, so you can unscrew them when the camera works in good light.

30 days to return, without giving a reason
