Product description: Raspberry Pi PoE HAT - shield for Raspberry Pi 4B / 3B + - IEEE 802.3af - Uctronics U6241
Shield for Raspberry Pi working with the use of PoE technology , which allows you to power the raspberries via an Ethernet cable . It complies with the IEEE 802.3af standard. The input voltage of the module ranges from 40 V to 57 V and is equipped with a number of protections. The output voltage of the shield is 5 V / 2.5 A. To work with Raspberry Pi PoE HAT you will need, for example, a router or switch with PoE power supply. It is also a Mini Power Over Ethernet, i.e. it saves space - it does not take up GPIO pins, which allows you to connect additional elements to the Raspberry Pi.
What is PoE? What is PoE technology?
PoE - Power over Ethernet - is a technology that enables the simultaneous supply of network devices and data transmission. It is used in all telecommunications installations, incl. IP cameras, access points and routers and network switches or VoIP phones (Voice of IP phones).
Special features of PoE HAT
- Powering the Raspberry Pi via PoE - Power over Ethernet
- Compatible with Raspberry Pi 4B and Raspberry Pi 3B +
- It is powered with the voltage ranging from 40 V to 57 V and with the output voltage of 5 V / 2.5 A
- Mini-Size - does not take up the GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi, saves space for other peripherals
- The manufacturer recommends proper cooling and ventilation of the module - HAT heating up during operation is a normal phenomenon
