Unlike traditional switches, you don't have to press a specific button—the active surface is much larger, making the TX T5 convenient to use even after dark. The colorful LED backlighting around the panel is also noteworthy. Eight lighting modes are available, allowing you to match the mood or character of the room, for example, as a night light, subtle hallway lighting, or decorative ambient lighting. The switch also confirms commands with a beep and gentle vibration . It also supports gestures, allowing you to trigger smart scenes and manually turn the backlight on and off.
The switch works with voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Alice.
Sonoff TX T5 control and eWeLink app
The Sonoff TX T5 1C light switch works with the eWeLink app , which allows you to remotely manage your lighting from your smartphone. You can turn the lights on and off, set schedules, use the countdown timer, and create automatic scenes tailored to your daily habits. The app also lets you share the device with other household members, allowing multiple people to control the same circuit. The TX T5 supports voice control and works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Alice . This allows you to issue a simple command to turn the lights on or off without walking up to the switch. It's a convenient solution for the living room, bedroom, children's room, or hallway, where quick access to lighting increases comfort. The switch is also compatible with Sonoff R5 and S-MATE devices, enabling bidirectional lighting control without the need for additional wiring.
