The Sonoff SNZB-04PR2 is a compact contact sensor designed for monitoring doors, windows, and other moving parts . The transmitter works with a magnet and detects changes in position, informing the system of opening or closing. A built-in tamper protection function detects attempts to remove the device from the mounting surface and can trigger a notification or automation. The sensor supports horizontal and vertical installation – the detection distance is up to 30 mm horizontally and up to 15 mm vertically . Thanks to ZigBee 3.0, it is compatible with popular gateways and smart home platforms, and powered by 2 AAA batteries reduces the need for frequent maintenance.

ZigBee 3.0 connectivity and Smart Home automation
Sonoff SNZB-04PR2 uses ZigBee 3.0 and requires a compatible ZigBee gateway or coordinator to work in a smart home system. It can work with Sonoff ZBBridge-P , ZBBridge-U, and other solutions. NSPanel Pro and iHost, as well as with Home Assistant via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT using compatible Sonoff dongles . Selected SmartThings, FRITZ, and Amazon Echo devices with ZigBee hub functionality are also supported, while integration with Apple Home is possible via a compatible Matter Bridge . Depending on the platform used, you can view the status in the eWeLink app , integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, and create scenes that respond to opening, closing, prolonged exposure, or tampering. For example, the sensor can trigger a camera, alarm, or lighting, and turn off the thermostat when a window is left open . The range of available features depends on the gateway and platform used – not every integration supports tamper status, battery reporting, and OTA updates, and integration with ZHA may require an additional script.
The opening status can be checked at any time using a dedicated application.
