PCTG filament provides high impact resistance
Although PCTG is in the same polyester family as the popular PETG, it has a much higher mechanical strength. Depending on the quality of the product, PCTG filament can be even 20 times more resistant to falls or sudden impacts. Therefore, elements printed with this material can be successfully used in industrial halls, workshops and manufacturing plants. PCTG filaments are also suitable for low-volume production of tools and spare parts. One example of such application can be the printing of support frames used to build FPV drones. PCTG material can easily withstand a collision with an obstacle at high speed, thus protecting valuable components of the drone itself.
PCTG filaments provide high resistance to corrosive chemicals
3D printing is often used to produce components that are particularly exposed to direct contact with various chemicals. These can be all kinds of laboratory aids, such as test tube racks, flasks, funnels and other instruments. What is more, after printing, PCTG filaments maintain high optical transparency, which enables to use them for production of various types of housings. The material is also suitable for contact with food, because the PCTG filament does not contain harmful BPA in its composition. Thanks to this they can be successfully used to print various types of food forms.
PCTG material significantly facilitates printing
Due to a wide range of operating temperatures, PCTG filaments can be used even in consumer-grade 3D printers. All you need is a heated print bed and a print head capable of reaching a temperature of 250°C. What's more, unlike PETG, PCTG has a very low shrinkage, so you can successfully use them in 3D printers not equipped with thermal insulated chambers. In addition, PCTG material adheres very well to the surface of the 3D printer bed, thus eliminating the need for adhesion promoters.
PCTG Filaments sold in a wide range of colors
Even the best material is of little use if you can't match its color to your needs. That is why PCTG felt in Botland offer are available in a full range of colors. Thanks to this you can easily match appropriate shade to the prepared project. It is also worth mentioning the fact that PCTG is recyclable.
