Product description: Cytron Shield-MDD10 - dual channel motor controller DC 7V-30V/10A - Shield for Arduino.
A module that allows you to control two DC motorsoronesteppermotor using Arduino. The overlay allows you to adjustthe direction andspeed of motors withcurrentconsumptionup to 10 A (momentary up to 30 A) andsupplyvoltagefrom 7 to 30V.Shield is equipped with jumpers that allow you to select the pins responsible for PWM and DIR signal supplied to the controller.
Cytron Shield-MDD10 overlay adapted to work with Arduino.
Product compatible with Arduino For a sample code and detailed information, see theuserguide. |
Support for two-channel DC motor controller - Cytron Shield-MDD10 - 7V-58V/25A - Shield for Arduino
The overlay is controlled by ArduinousingPWM and DIR signals responsible for the speed and direction of the motor. Thanks to the use of jumpers that allow you to select the I/O pins from which the control signal is to be received, it is possible to connect several different overlays at the same time without the risk of incorrectly connected pins. Additionally, using buck converter allows to power the controller straight from the overlay, by default this option is enabled. To power Arduino from an external source you have to solder the jumper located on the back of the board. Detailed information can be found in the documentation anduserguide.
To power Arduino from an external source, break the jumper.
Protection of Cytron Shield-MDD10 dual channel controller
The module has anovercurrent protectionto protect the controller from damage when the motorstopsor when a motor is too big. In case the motor tries to draw more current, the controller limits it to the maximum. The controller also hasprotection against too high a temperature. If the board temperature increases, the current limit is limited. Additionally, the controller is equipped withan under-voltage switch,it is used to switch off the controller output when the output voltage falls below the lower threshold.
Attention! The controller does not have protection against reverse polarity, please pay special attention to the way the module power supply is connected. |
