Wide-angle lens CS Mount 6 mm with manual focus
Wide angle lens CS Mount 6 mm - manual focus adjustment - for Raspberry Pi - ArduCam LN037 is an excellent choice for owners of the popular "raspberry", who are looking for high-quality, universal optics for the most demanding applications. The lens cooperates with ArduCam cameras equipped with CS Mount thread.
The wide-angle lens with dimensions as small as Φ 31 x 30 mm provides a bright image (f/1.2 light) and - what is very important - is devoid of the vignetting effect found in some lenses of this type. The horizontal angle of view is 65o for Raspberry Pi HQ camera or 37o for V1/V2 models. The rotating focus ring enables adjustment of the focus plane from a distance of 20 cm.
The versatility of a miniature SLR
Most of popular camera modules, dedicated for Raspberry Pi mini-computers, have built-in pinhole lenses or slightly larger, integrated optics, but usually without the possibility of replacing them with accessories of other parameters. In some situations, however, we want to take advantage of the possibility of adjusting lens parameters to the type of application - then we can use interchangeable lenses with CS Mount.
When choosing CS Mount-compatible cameras and lenses, you can benefit from the flexibility that professionals gain from interchangeable optics cameras. Reaching for a wide-angle lens, you can capture a wide range of environments (e.g. landscapes), and as the focal length increases, the angle of view decreases, while the magnification of distant subjects increases.
