The Cardputer Mesh Kit for Meshtastic is a compact communication kit based on the ESP32-S3 microcontroller, combining the functionality of a portable computer with LoRa Mesh communication and GNSS global positioning. The kit consists of a Cardputer-Ad v module equipped with an LCD screen, keypad, and 1500 mAh battery , as well as a LoRa-1262 Cap with an SX1262 chip and GPS receiver. The pre-installed Meshtastic software allows for immediate connection to a LoRa Mesh network without any programming.

The M5Stack Cardputer Mesh Kit is a turnkey solution for users requiring independent, long-range communication and GPS location in the field. At the heart of the kit is the Cardputer-Adv , based on the ESP32-S3FN8 module with a dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor clocked at up to 240 MHz. The device is equipped with a 1.14" color LCD display, a 56-key keyboard , a speaker, a microphone, a microSD card reader, and a 1500 mAh battery. Communication is handled by the Cap LoRa-1262 module, based on the SX1262 chip , supporting the 868 MHz to 923 MHz band. The module offers a receiver sensitivity of up to -147 dBm and transmit power of up to +22 dBm, enabling the construction of efficient LoRa Mesh networks over long distances . The built-in AT6668 GNSS receiver provides precise positioning using GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou. With Meshtastic pre-installed, the device is ready to go right out of the box.

Pinout and Connectivity in Cardputer Mesh Kit
The kit is equipped with an HY2.0-4P Grove interface and an EXT 2.54-14P expansion bus , enabling the connection of additional modules, sensors, and peripherals. The LoRa-1262 Cap communicates with the controller via SPI, UART, and I2C buses, ensuring full integration of radio and positioning functions. The LoRa module uses an external RP-SMA antenna with 3 dBi gain , ensuring stable communication in Mesh networks. An additional HY2.0-4P port on the LoRa module allows for easy connection of additional sensors without the need to design your own electronics.

The Cardputer Mesh Kit is designed for both beginners and advanced programmers. The manufacturer provides libraries and examples for the Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, PlatformIO, and the UiFlow2 graphical environment . This allows you to quickly get started, regardless of your preferred programming method. The ESP32-S3 platform offers support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless communication, as well as a rich set of hardware interfaces. The available RadioLib and TinyGPSPlus libraries allow you to easily create your own applications using LoRa communication, GPS location, telemetry, and object monitoring and tracking systems.
