Chain ToF is a measurement module designed for the M5Stack Chain system, enabling fast and precise distance measurement without contact with the object. At the heart of the device is the VL53L0C laser sensor, which provides measurements in the range of 3 cm to 200 cm . Under typical conditions, the maximum effective range is approximately 120 cm , while reaching the full 200 cm is possible by enabling Long Range mode and operating in a dark environment without infrared interference. The module is operated by an STM32G031G8U6 microcontroller, and communication takes place via a UART interface with a daisy-chain serial protocol. Two HY2.0-4P connectors enable easy connection of additional Chain series modules, enabling the construction of complex control and interaction systems. Additionally, the sensor is equipped with a programmable WS2812C RGB LED, which can be used to indicate operating status.
