Powered by 12 V , a holding electromagnet that holds a mass of 15 kg under standard acceleration due to gravity (9.8 m/s 2 ). Current consumption during operation is approximately 250 mA. The rated power of the device is 3 W. The electromagnet has dimensions: 30 x 14 x 22 mm. It has terminals in the form of two wires, approximately 30 cm long, with the insulation removed at the ends. The housing has an installation hole with an M4 thread. The kit also includes the appropriate screw. The device is used as an actuator controlled by Arduino . Due to the high power consumed by the electromagnet, it should not be connected directly to the microcontroller pins. This may result in damage to the system. In such connections, an additional element should be used: a relay , opto-isolator or transistor amplifier .
