Joy-IT COM-SD-NAND512 is a module with 512 MB SD NAND memory mounted on the board, which you operate over SPI exactly like an ordinary SD card, without the risk of it falling out. The built-in voltage converter lets you power the module with a voltage from 3 V to 5 V, and the logic level matches the supply voltage. The SPI clock can run at up to 50 MHz.

You use the standard SD library from the Arduino IDE, just like with an SD card. The manufacturer connects CS to pin 4 and the SPI lines to pins 11 to 13 of an Arduino Uno.
Does it work with 3.3 V and 5 V?
Yes, the built-in voltage converter lets you power the module with a voltage from 3 V to 5 V. The logic level matches the supply voltage.
Can I remove the memory?
No, the SD NAND memory is mounted on the module board. You read the data through the microcontroller, not in a computer card reader.
