Product description: Grove LCD v2.0 2 x 16 I2C with backlight (Black on Red)
Grove module with2 x 16 characters monochrome LCD display withhigh brightness backlight. It communicates via the two-row I2C bus. It is poweredfrom 3.3 V to 5 V. The setincludes a Grove cable,which is adapted to work with Seeedstudio Base Shield v2.0.
A traditional LCD display requires upto 10 I/O pins onthe control board and screens with RGB backlighting require three additional pins to control the backlighting colour. This is a limitation for people using software boards with smaller resources such as Arduino, RaspberryPi.With the Grove I2C connector, only two signal pins and 2 power pins are required, just connect the module to the I2C interface in Seeeduino, RaspberryPi or Arduinousingthe Grove cable.
