Description: Adafruit NeoPixel Stick - LED RGB 8 x WS2812 5050
The panel consists of 8 individually addressed LEDs WS2812 RGB with integrated control unit. The module has one microcontroller output. The LEDs are arranged at equal distances on the plate with length of 51,1 mm. Each of them consumes a current of 18 mA, which in this case gives a total value of approx. 290 mA. The circuit can be powered with any voltage from 4 V to 7 V.
The used communication Protocol allows the serial connection of the LEDs. Another circuit should be connected to the output connector, combining with each other respectively, 5V, GND, DOUT and DIN. The manufacturer notes that when working with more than 500 LEDs, there may not be enough RAM in the Arduino Unosystem.
Connection
The device has four terminals:- GND- module's ground
- 5 V - supply voltage 18 current for one diode
- Data IN - the digital control signal from the microcontroller
- Data OUT- output for connection of the following module
