The Unit AudioPlayer module from M5Stack is a universal audio player designed with simplicity of integration and high sound quality in mind. The N9301 decoder allows for seamless playback of MP3 and WAV files from a microSD card , and communication is via a UART interface at a default speed of 9600 bps. Audio output is available via a classic 3.5 mm jack , making it easy to connect to headphones or amplifiers. Pinouts and compatibility with M5Stack
The Unit AudioPlayer module features a standard Grove connector and communicates via UART . It easily connects to M5Stack devices such as CoreS3 , Core2 , and Atom . Standard Grove ports A, B, and C are compatible, but require customization of the program code to the assigned pins (e.g., G17/G18 on CoreS3). The wire color scheme is black (GND), red (5V), yellow (UART_RX), and white (UART_TX). This allows the module to seamlessly integrate into the M5Stack ecosystem and enable the creation of scalable projects.
You can control MP3 playback from a microSD card via the UART interface.
Programming and ecosystem integration
Unit AudioPlayer supports three major platforms: Arduino IDE, UiFlow1, and UiFlow2 . Ready-made libraries and documentation allow you to quickly integrate the module into your project—from simple voice prompts to dynamic content playback systems.
