Synth Unit is a versatile audio module , dedicated to MIDI sound systems . The heart of the device is the SAM2695 chip, which supports standard MIDI signals via serial communication. Synth Unit allows you to create complex musical arrangements thanks to the ability to generate multi-channel instrument sounds and precise adjustments of sound parameters, such as a four-stage equalizer (EQ) and reverb . Synth Unit Module Connection
The Synth Unit can be easily connected to MIDI devices using a standard UART port and MIDI connector . The attached diagram shows how to connect the unit to a 5-pin DIN connector (used for MIDI).
- Module Connectors : The Synth Unit module has four main pins: GND, 5V, IN and NC. The GND and 5V connectors supply power to the module. The IN pin is used to receive the MIDI signal.
- Power supply : connect the 5V pin from the module to the TIP pin in the MIDI connector and the GND pin to the SLEEVE pin. This will provide the correct power supply.
- Data transmission : the MIDI signal is transmitted via the IN pin, which must be connected to the RING pin in the MIDI connector.
This connection allows the Synth Unit to seamlessly integrate with other MIDI devices, enabling sound generation and audio processing effects in real time. This makes the module an ideal solution for both amateurs and professionals involved in electronic music who need a reliable tool for their projects.
