Mean Well MDR-10-12 is an industrial DIN rail power supply 22.5 mm wide. It delivers 12 V and up to 0.84 A, which is 10 W, so it can power a sensor, a small controller, a communication module or a relay with a 12 V coil in a control cabinet.
In addition to +V and -V, the output terminals carry a DC OK signal, which tells the controller that the output voltage is correct. The power supply works from mains of 85 V to 264 V AC, has a protective earth terminal and is cooled without a fan. Every unit undergoes a full-load test at the manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions
What is the DC OK output for?
It is a signal of 9 V to 13.5 V at up to 40 mA that appears when the output voltage is correct. You connect it to a controller input so that it can detect a power supply failure.
Can I change the output voltage?
No. The MDR-10-12 delivers a fixed 12 V. If you need a different voltage, choose the 5 V or 24 V version of this series.
Do I need to connect the earth?
Yes. The power supply has an FG terminal for the protective earth conductor and should be connected to it according to the manufacturer's instructions.
