Mean Well HDR-60-12 delivers 12 V and up to 4.5 A, which is 54 W, from a housing 52.5 mm wide, and its stepped shape fits modular distribution boards with a cover. The power supply sits in the same row as circuit breakers. You can use it to power home automation modules, sensors, controllers and relays with a 12 V coil.
You adjust the output voltage with a potentiometer in the range from 10.8 V to 13.8 V, which lets you compensate for voltage drop on longer cables. The power supply works from mains of 85 V to 264 V AC, has a typical efficiency of 88% and is cooled without a fan.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use it to power a 12 V LED strip?
Yes, as long as the total power of the strip does not exceed 54 W, and ideally leave about 20% headroom. For longer runs you can raise the voltage to 13.8 V with the potentiometer to compensate for voltage drop on the cables.
Why does the power supply have no earth terminal?
The HDR-60-12 has insulation class II, meaning double insulation, and does not require a protective earth conductor. You only connect L and N on the mains side and +V and -V on the output side.
How many modules will it take up in the distribution board?
The power supply is 52.5 mm wide, which is three modules of 17.5 mm, and you mount it on a TS35 rail.
