The module has been designed to extend the Galatea PCI Express Spartan 6 FPGA development board. Manufactured by Numato Lab, the component is an extension providing Ethernet functionality to the board. It features a highly integrated Ethernet transceiver compliant with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T IEEE 802.3 standards. It supports Ethernet MAC communication over the standard RGMII interface, making it an alternative solution to the IEEE802.3z GMII interface. In addition, it also supports HP Auto-MDIX, which enables the use of direct connections or cross-over LAN cables.
