Product description: Waterproof analogue soil moisture sensor V2.0 DFRobot SEN0308
The device is designed tomeasure soil moistureby means of capacitive detection.DFRobot product has increased water resistance.It can be placed in the soil for a long time, without corrosion.This makes it much more efficient than resistance sensors. It works in a wide range of voltagesfrom 3.3 V to 5.5 V.
The product is compatible withArduino, ESP32,micro:bitorRaspberry Pi. For proper operation with microcontrollers, the sensor only needs to be connected to an external ADC (changing from analog to digital signal). Analogue sensor and 4 pieces of waterproof label are included.

Wiring diagram
Before starting up the sensor, connect the cables to the appropriate ports. Red corresponds to the module power supply (VCC), yellow corresponds to the signal (for example pin A0), and two black wires should be connected to ground (GND).
