Description
The device is used to measure the soil moisture by measuring the resistance, compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi. More water makes the soil better conductive (lower resistance), if the soil is more dry, it's conducting the current less effectively (higher resistance). Supply voltage is from 3.3 V to 5 V. The sensor is equipped with a Gravity connector.
Connection example
The product is compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi Sample code can be found in the user guide. In order to use the sensor with the Raspberry Pi, a transducer is required. |
The connection scheme of sensor with Arduino.
Attention! During continuous use, with very moist soil, on the surface of the contacts, the elements of corrosion may appear. In our offer, there is also a module resistant to corrosion. |
