Connection
The SD cards communicate using the SPI bus. Most of the microcontrollers, including those used inArduinoAVRy, have hardware control over this interface. The functions of the separate pins are presented in the table below.

DI CMD | Input data (MOSI) in SPI mode. Command line (CMD) in SD mode. |
DO DAT0 | The output data (MISO) in SPI mode. Data line of bit 0 (DAT0) in SD mode. |
SCL CLK | The clock line (CLK) in the SP mode. The clock line (CLK) in the SD mode. |
CS DAT3 | Selection of the device (chip select) in SPI mode. Data line, bit 3 (DAT3) in SD mode. |
- DAT1 | Line is disabled in the SPI mode. Data line, bit 1 (DAT1) in SD mode. |
IRQ IRQ | An interrupt in the SPI mode. The interrupt in SD mode. |
- DAT2 | Line is disabled in SP mode. Data line, bit 2 (DAT2) in SD mode. |
