Product description: Reader module of the microSD card - Pololu
Reader module of the microSD cards from the Pololu with goldpin connectors - 2.54 mm pitch for self-soldering. It communicates with main board via SPI interface, it operates with a voltage of 3.3 V. In our offer, you will also finda reader with a built-in converter of 5 V.
The set includes the module and the goldpin strap for self-soldering, the microSD cardcan be purchased separately.
The product is compatible with Arduino The manufacturer providesa libraryto support SD cards using Arduino. |
Connection
The SD cards communicate using the SPI bus. Most of the microcontrollers, including those used inArduinoAVRy, have hardware control over this interface. The functions of the separate pins are presented in the table below.
Pin | Description |
---|---|
GND | The ground of the module. |
VDD | Supply voltage from 2.7 V to 3.6 V - it is compatible with standard micro SD memory card. |
CD | Card detection. In the absence of a card, the pin is in the low status when the card is in the connector, the pin is disconnected (floating). |
DI CMD |
Input data (MOSI) in SPI mode. Command line (CMD) in SD mode. |
DO DAT0 |
The output data (MISO) in SPI mode. Data line of bit 0 (DAT0) in SD mode. |
SCL CLK |
The clock line (CLK) in the SP mode. The clock line (CLK) in the SD mode. |
CS DAT3 |
Selection of the device (chip select) in SPI mode. Data line, bit 3 (DAT3) in SD mode. |
- DAT1 |
Line is disabled in the SPI mode. Data line, bit 1 (DAT1) in SD mode. |
IRQ IRQ |
An interrupt in the SPI mode. The interrupt in SD mode. |
- DAT2 |
Line is disabled in SP mode. Data line, bit 2 (DAT2) in SD mode. |
SD cards work with voltages of 3.3 V so to connect with modules of 5 V, for example,Arduino Uno, you need to use a converter. In our offer, you will also finda reader with a built-in converter of 5 V. |
